 "look down"

"cover your head"

"do your work

so you can be wed"


She had heard this countless times.

Over and over, 

as if that was all she was destined to do.

a double-edged sword, with no positives to be seen,


a woman AND a Dalit,

fate surely gave her the short end of the stick,

because being a victim of both,

cast and patriarchy - isn't exclusive.


because upper-caste feminists fight,

but isn't this feminism all but skin-deep?

 TW: mentions of sexual assault and rape He kept on asking her. She kept saying no. And because no is apparently not an answer, he grabbed her wrist. She pulled away, and he yells "B*tch!". Because saying no is wrong. Why would she say "no" to him, a person she doesn't like, doesn't know?  She opened up about her experience. She talked about how he assaulted her, and what did she get?
